Grand Hall
The Grand Hall is the converted former riding hall of Schloss Thalheim — a spacious event space with capacity for up to 300 persons. It is the largest indoor space on the estate and is available for conferences, concerts, gala events, weddings, and seminars.
History of the Space
The riding hall was originally part of the agricultural and representational infrastructure of the castle. During the modern restoration it was converted into an event hall. The architectural structure — high ceilings, clear proportions, and the characteristic longitudinal axis of a riding hall — remains legible in the spatial character of the room today.
The conversion was carried out with the aim of preserving the historic fabric while enabling contemporary event use. Daylight, acoustics, and technical equipment were optimised as part of the renovation.

Catering
Events at the Grand Hall can be catered by Restaurant Am Schlossgarten, whose kitchen uses seasonal and estate-grown produce. Catering arrangements — including service style, menu planning, and staffing — are agreed individually as part of the event booking. The restaurant is open Friday to Sunday; catering for private events can be arranged on other days by prior arrangement.
