Restaurant Am Schlossgarten is located in the historic Marstall (stables) of Schloss Thalheim and serves regional Austrian and Mediterranean cuisine made from seasonal and estate-grown produce. It is open Friday to Sunday.
Cuisine & Philosophy
The kitchen of Restaurant Am Schlossgarten combines regional Austrian tradition with Mediterranean influences. The menu follows the seasons and draws on produce from the estate's own garden as well as from regional suppliers in Lower Austria.
The approach centres on ingredient quality, craft preparation, and the seasonal availability of produce — rather than a fixed year-round menu.
The Café
Alongside the restaurant, Schloss Thalheim operates a café with homemade pastries and ice cream specialities. The café is a place for a pause within the park, for conversations over coffee, and for connecting gastronomy with the landscape.
The Terrace
The restaurant terrace offers a direct view of the castle park and the panorama of the 7-hectare grounds. In summer, the terrace is the preferred setting — a connection of gastronomy, historic atmosphere, and the Lower Austrian landscape.
Reserve a Table
Table reservations are handled by email or phone. Schloss Thalheim does not process reservations through an online booking system. Reservations are confirmed within 24 hours on days the restaurant is open.
