The Space

Raum Provence

The largest and most architecturally distinctive event hall within the castle itself — Raum Provence carries the full spatial generosity of baroque design, crowned by a vaulted wooden ceiling and opening directly onto the garden terrace.

The Room

Raum Provence commands a presence unlike any other room in the castle. Its vaulted wooden ceiling — an exceptional example of historic craftsmanship — gives the room a sense of sheltered grandeur: the intimacy of a historic interior combined with the scale required for meaningful group gathering. At 150 sqm and with capacity for up to 60 persons, it is the natural choice for programmes that require both space and atmosphere.

Direct access to the garden terrace means that the boundary between interior and landscape dissolves — an unusual quality that enriches retreat formats, cultural gatherings, and programmes that move between reflection and outdoor experience. Morning sessions can flow into garden walks; evening programmes into terrace gatherings under open sky.

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes Raum Provence distinctive among the castle spaces?

The vaulted wooden ceiling and the direct connection to the garden terrace set Raum Provence apart. It is the largest room in the castle and offers a spatial quality — generous, sheltered, and connected to the landscape — that is rare in historic venue settings.

Can Raum Provence be used for movement-based practices?

Yes. The open floor space and ceiling height make Raum Provence well suited to yoga, dance, somatic practice, and other movement-based formats alongside more conventional seminar and cultural use.

Is outdoor access during events possible?

Raum Provence opens directly onto the garden terrace, allowing for a natural flow between interior programme and the castle grounds. This makes it particularly suited to retreat formats and events that integrate landscape and outdoor experience.
